Invotec Independent Sales Representative Duties and Responsibilities
Invotec Dedicated Marketplace
Invotec International, Inc. sells and services products in the USA for use by ENT/Head and Neck Surgeons, Facial Plastic Surgeons, Cosmetic Surgeons, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, Emergency Physicians, and Endocrine Surgeons. Our products are purchased by Hospitals, Surgery Centers, Individual Surgeons and Surgeons’ offices and Clinics.
Identifying Prospective Customers
Independent sales representative must be able to identify prospective customers by, canvasing appointed geographic territory, following leads, attending events and conferences, and calling on key decision makers and their support staffs.
Developing Customer Accounts
Independent sales representatives must capable of building account sales, according to the goals of Invotec International and to build strong professional relationships with their customers, both new and existing.
Advising Customers on Product Benefits
Representatives must be competent in discussing and establishing customers’ needs and communicating to them how specific Invotec products or services can benefit the customer and their patients. Being able to sell the unique points of products or services is key to independent sales representatives. Representative must be able to clearly communicate the features and benefits of our products and how customers can make the best use of them.
Negotiating Terms of Sales
Independent sales representatives negotiate end user prices, within Invotec guidelines, and ensure that orders are submitted properly.
Following Up
Once a sale has been made, independent sales representatives must be able follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and to answer questions or concerns.
Independent Sales Representative Skills and Qualifications
Independent sales representatives should be confident and able to maintain their composure when networking with people. Typically, there is no formal qualification required to become an independent sales representative, but candidates should possess the following abilities:
• Customer service skills
Must be able to understand customer’s needs before, during, and after a sale.
• Interpersonal skills
Communicate and work well with different types of people, building good relationships with them.
• Self-confidence
A confident and persuasive personality is vital to success as the job can involve cold calling, talking to people who aren’t expecting their call.
• Networking
Build relationships and contact lists, increasing the chances of making a sale.
• Physical stamina
Depending on the product being sold, independent sales representatives may need to spend long hours on their feet and lifting heavy items (50 lbs.).
